Isometric Frottage CMU's

A series of canvas wrapped concrete masonry units, using the inherent grain of the textile to draw isometric perspectives where the voids of the blocks exist just behind the surface. I've always been interested in these blocks as architectural objects due to the their strategically  designed shape and weight meant for a single individual to use in construction. Usually a 8"x8"x12", 32 lbs block, they are efficient and repeatable, and I found commonalities in that attention to repetition, and gesture, whether it be efficient or meaningful.
