Thousand Yards of Sea 

A series of minimalistic seascapes focused on light and depth. The middle stripe is inked on both sides of the canvas with another solid painting behind the surface to create a gradient of vibrating color. The drawings on the edge use a series of stacked, colorful lines to instill a further sense of perspective. As with the "Waves" paintings, I am focused on trying to bring out light and movement from within the surface of the canvas, and with this series, adding a perspectival element to ground the work in a concrete time and place.
